Happy New Year 2018!

Another fresh new year is here! Another year to live! To vanish worry, doubt, and fear, to love and laugh and give!

With that in mind, your Elk Grove Lions Club Members are here to serve!

BIG DAY OF GIVING – Check out this website and budget now to support the Elk Grove Lions Foundation! You can donate at ANYTIME!

Wrapping up December, please thank Lion Joe and his crew for handling the traffic control for the Elk Grove Food Bank’s Christmas Box Drive.

Also thank you to Lion Brad,” aka Santa for the kids” at our Family Christmas Dinner, as well as the lead on our annual December Crab and Shrimp Feed. A big thank you to all Lions who helped to make one of our major fundraisers a big success! And thank you to the people who attend this event year after year. We appreciate your continued support!

January 8th and January 22nd we will get back on schedule with our dinner meetings. The monthly pancake breakfast is on January 13th and our board meeting is on January 15th, all at the Senior Center.

We will be helping out at Pleasant Grove Lacrosse Club’s 4th Annual tri tip dinner on January 26th.

Lion John Jr. has confirmed our Chili’s fundraiser for next month. It’s on February 7th and a portion of the proceeds will go to us from that day. Tell all your family and friends! Coupons you can print out are attached here to the website.

Looking for somewhere to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? We will be hosting our very first Corned Beef with Cabbage Dinner at the Elk Grove Pavilion with Lion Taka as head Chair. We hope to make this an annual tradition, so please come support our efforts to provide a delicious and entertaining night!

Lions are in 200 countries and geographic areas. We have 45,000 clubs with over 1.3 million members world wide. We have a dynamic history. We are best known for fighting blindness — it’s part of our history as well as our work today. But we also volunteer for many different kinds of projects including disaster relief — across many borders. We serve youth. Our community projects often support local children and schools with new programs and resources. Internationally, we offer many programs.

    • We hope you will consider joining our club.
    • To become a Lion, you must be of good moral character and good reputation in our community.
    • Membership is by invitation.
