Senior center and Lions future look…
April 2014 inception of plan to relocate
Sold existing land for $3 million
City of EG offers funding for $7 million additional
Study by planners, designers and feasibility study based on 28,000 SF of space says the plan needa additional $5 to 6 million
September 28 the Feasibility Study is to be presented to the Public at the City Council Meeting
October 28 plan presented to City Council
Construction planned to begin 2017
Property would have Vet center adjacent to Sr Center with large kitchen facility
“we are appreciated by the Sr Center and they would like us to join in the relocation”
Terms and space to be worked out in the future.
