Fellow Lions;

We lost a great man, Father, Husband and Lion on the morning of December 26th. The Elk Grove Lion’s Club had the great pleasure of working with Bill since he became a member of our club in June 2000. For years, whenever you saw Lion Bill working an event, his sidekick Floyd “Butch” Averitt was always with him. We lost Floyd several years ago and now we have lost Bill. Best buddies are together again.

I have the updated info for Lion Bill’s services that was posted on Facebook by his daughter Amy.

Services will be held Tuesday, January 7th 2020 at St. Mary’s Funeral home. The viewing will be begin at 10:00am with the service to follow at 11:00am. We will also be having a celebration of life at 1:00pm at the Elk Grove Masonic Center. The family asks that anyone who knew him please join us and share your memories. Thank you.
