Lions are in 200 countries and geographic areas. We have 45,000 clubs with over 1.3 million members world wide. We have a dynamic history. We are best known for fighting blindness — it’s part of our history as well as our work today. But we also volunteer for many different kinds of projects including disaster relief — across many borders. We serve youth. Our community projects often support local children and schools with new programs and resources. Internationally, we offer many programs.
We hope you will consider joining our club.

Fellow Lions, Friends of the Elk Grove Lions Club and our Community.
As usual, we were busy in January. We had a great time on the 2nd Saturday of the month hosting our Community Pancake Breakfast with over 150 guests. We had the members from Post 55 in attendance as well as our regular crowd.
We also did a special breakfast for Barbara Comstock Morse Elementary School staff appreciation breakfast. Our bar crew worked a special event for Elk Grove Baseball at the Asian Sports Center. Great crowd. Lots of thank you’s from the folks at that event.
I’m proud of our club and all that we do for our community. Our schedule is the busiest it has been in years, and that means we are meeting our mission to serve.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Sincerely,
Lion Bob Shipley
